Jewish Holiday Celebrations/Hebrew
A Hebrew teacher is introduced at the Early Childhood level. Modern Hebrew vocabulary is introduced through songs, games, and activities. The celebration of all Jewish holidays is woven into the curriculum through projects and stories. Our goal is to support the development of our students' Jewish identity.

Each class celebrates Shabbat every week with a host or hostess helping to recite the blessings over the candles, the kiddush over the wine (grape juice) and the motzee-the prayer said prior to eating bread, said over challah. Every child has an opportunity to be a Shabbat Host or Hostess, and to bring in a kosher treat for the entire class.
