We consider each child’s academic abilities, preparedness for school, motivation, character and potential to contribute positively to our school community.
The Admissions Committee seeks student applicants who we believe have the best likelihood for a successful and satisfying Day School experience. We seek families who take a strong interest in their children’s development, and will partner positively with us to support their children’s education. Because we are a family-oriented school, we give priority to applicants whose siblings are current Day School students, and welcome applications from alumni families.
Affiliation and practice within a particular movement is not considered in the admissions process. Our community represents a wide spectrum of Jewish life, with families who make choices commensurate with their values and beliefs.
The admissions process may include both objective and subjective evaluations, depending on the grade level to which your child is applying. Objective criteria include grades and academic reports from previous schools, and test results. Play parties, interviews and informal meetings with both parents and children provide more subjective insights.
